The vacant NABF Super Featherweight title was decided on November 4^th in Jacksonville, North Carolina at the Marine Air Station.  With over a 1,000 active duty marines in attendance, the fight was closely contented for the first few rounds, the winner of each round separated by only 2 or 3 landed punches. In the end, challenger Jason Litzau landed the more accurate punches more often over challenger Johnnie Edwards, the hometown favorite and former Marine.  Litzau won a unanimous decision, 97-93, 98-92 and 99-91 on the judges scorecards.  This is the first championship for Litzau who spoke to the marines after the fight and give thanks for their edicated service to the country. "You're the real champions" he told them.
