Changes in top ten ratings positions, by division, August 2011 Ratings [July 23, 2011 cutoff date]

Notes:  Where a reason for a change in ratings position is not indicated, it is the result of the announced changes in that division.  If a division is not shown in the list below, there were no changes in the top ten positions.

SM:  Jesus Gonzales is new champion. Quillin rose in ratings after recent win.  Daryl Cunningham in at 10 from MW.

MW:  Daniel Jacobs leaves the ratings due to injury.  See SM division for comment on Cunningham.

SW: Rosado up to 2 following win.  Delvin Rodriguez comes in at 9 following draw with #2 Wolak.

WW:  Title is vacant, former champion Porter is now rated 3.  Bruce and Gorges lowered after losses.

SL:   Lozada drops after loss,

LW:  Edner Cherry lowered due to inactivity, former world champion David Diaz enters at 4.  Daniel Attah lowered slightly after loss.

SF:  Alejandro Perez drops from 8 to 10 as the result of a loss in a title challenge, outstanding undefeated prospect Yaundale Evans up to 8 after impressive win.

FW:  New entry at 5 is Michael Farenas winner over rated opponent.  F Beltran and M Beltran both drop after losses, with Gary Russell, Jr. coming in 10 this month.

SB:  newcomer at 10th position is Efrain Esquivas, undefeated boxer from California.

BW:  Prior 10 Rocha leaves after we receive report he is to challenge for WBA world title soon.

SFLY:  New at 7 is Enrique Quevado, formerly rated at flyweight, who won the Mexican national championship in this division.

FLY:  Edgar Sosa, former world champion is coming off a win and enters the ratings at 3; see previous division for explanation on Quevado.
