December 2008 Ratings Changes

NORTH AMERICAN BOXING FEDERATION
CHANGES IN TOP TEN RATINGS POSITIONS, BY DIVISION
DECEMBER 2008 RATINGS

HW:   Former 1 Arreola is new champion.  Former champion Walker drops to 3.

CR:     Calloway drops from 7 down to 11 following loss in Europe.

LH:    5 Muriqui out, fighting eliminator for IBF, replaced by Daniel Judah, record of 23-3-3 with a win since the previous ratings list.

SM:    Title vacated for over due defense.  Former champion Pascal now rated 3.  Previously 10 rated George leaves the ratings for inactivity.

MW:    No changes in top ten positions.

SW:     8 rated Moore drops after losing in a title challenge and suffering a broken eardrum. 
            New rated 9 is Danny Perez, former NABF welterweight champion, who has 2 quality wins  in his comeback.

WW:   Championship now vacant, former champion Soto Karass rated 1 pending clarification of his status in challenging for WBC title.

            Former 1 Collazo out as he is challenging for WBC world title in January.  10 Freddy Hernandez replaced  

(7+ months inactivty) by veteran Antonio Diaz due to recent wins by Diaz.

SL:      Title vacated due to non-defense by Figueroa.  No changes in the ratings.

LW:     2 Teron drops to 6 due to loss.  9 Lopez up to 4 due to quality win.  New entrant at 5 is Valtierra
              who defeated Teron.

SF:       Lozada out, now fighting at lightweight.

FW:       7 Gonzalez out, 6 months + inactivity.  8 Morales out won eliminator for WBA title.

SB:        Title vacant as Concepcion is moving up to featherweight.   9 Villa, loser in most recent fight, drops
 to 11 being replaced by undefeated Alejandro Sanabria.

BW:      4 Garcia leaves, fighting for WBC title in January.  Beranza up from 12 to 10 with win.

SFLY:   2 Morales and 3 Arce swap places due to more activity by Arce.

FLY:      Champion Ibarra lost his belt due to losing by stoppage in an over the weight fight.  Now enters
 the rating list at 5.  Former 3 Salado up to 2 after winning over rated strawweight Albuquerque.

LFLY:    6 Vargas wins WBO Interim title and leaves our ratings.

STRAW:   7 Garcia leaves after winning IBF championship.  New at 8 is Silvestre, WBC Youth champ.
