NORTH AMERICAN BOXING FEDERATION RATINGS CHANGES
Changes in top-ten ratings positions, by division, for
March 22, 2008 ratings (March 2008 Ratings)

HEAVYWEIGHTS:

  • Former 4 Walker is new interim champion in this division.
  • Witherspoon, Rossy, Johnson, Fields, and Minto move up due to recent wins. 
  • Mesi drops down due to injury and his political endeavors which will keep him inactive for several months. 
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.
CRUISERWEIGHTS:
  • Jirov and Ross drop in the ratings due to inactivity. 
  • Nwamu leaves the ratings due to inactivity. 
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.
LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHTS:
  • Adjamu out and Hoye lowered due to inactivity. 
  • Abron leaves the ratings as he is challenging for a world title. 
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.

SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHTS:

  • Former 1 Green is removed from the ratings due to disciplinary suspension. 
  • Former 2 Andrade leaves as he is now mandatory challenger for IBF world title.
  • Prior 11 Ward defeated 6 Williams and enters the top ten while Williams drops.
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.
MIDDLEWEIGHTS:

  • Greene and St. Juste move up based upon recent wins.
  • Other changes are the result of these two boxers moving up.

SUPER WELTERWEIGHTS:
  • Albert drops from 7 to 9 and Thompson leaves the top ten due to inactivity. 
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.

WELTERWEIGHTS:

  • Gomez leaves the ratings, challenging for WBA title. 
  • Diaz drops out of top ten due to inactivity. 
  • Other movements are the result of these two changes.

SUPER LIGHTWEIGHTS:

  • Bradley leaves our regional ratings as he is challenging for WBC world title.
  • Other changes are the result of this boxer leaving.
LIGHTWEIGHTS:
  • New champion is Javier Jauregui. 
  • Former champion Huerta is now 5. 
  • Teron moves up in ratings due to recent win, former 10 Jose Garza leaves the top ten due to inactivity. 
  • Any other changes are the result of these moves.
SUPER FEATHERWEIGHTS:
  • Former world champion Oscar Larios is now back active and winner of WBC Latino title in this division…enters ratings at 2. 
  • Prior 2 Gainer and 3 Navarro drop due to inactivity. 
  • Other changes are the result of these moves.

FEATHERWEIGHTS:

  • Championship in this division is now vacant. 
  • Former champion Mtagwa is now rated 4. 
  • Jose Hernandez leaves due to inactivity.  
  • Burgos and Cruz up one position each due to recent wins.
  • Other movements are the result of these changes.

SUPER BANTAMWEIGHTS:

  • Mares moves to bantamweights. 
  • Abraham Rodriguez up due to recent win. 
  • Other changes are the result of these moves.

BANTAMWEIGHTS:

  • Mares now rated 4 in this division. 
  • Vinson drops in ratings due to inactivity. 
  • Nieves drops one position due to loss with Victor Fonseca, who defeated Nieves coming in one position ahead of Nieves. 
  • Other changes are the result of these moves.

SUPER FLYWEIGHTS:

  • Gerson Guerrero out due to inactivity. 
  • David Martinez is moved to featherweight. 
  • Cesar Lopez drops due to recent loss. 
  • Other changes are resulting from these moves.

FLYWEIGHTS:

  • New champion in this division is Adrian Hernandez.
  • Previous champion Gilberto Keb Baas is now rated 5. 
  • Former champion Uicab drops to 9 due to loss. 
  • New entry is Glenn Donaire record of 16-2 who defeated ranked strawweight boxer in his most recent match. 
  • Other changes are the result of these moves.

LIGHT FLYWEIGHTS:

  • Rafael Chavez and Juan Keb Baas leave due to inactivity.
  • Adrian Hernandez is new flyweight champion. 
  • Other changes result from these moves.

STRAWWEIGHTS:

  • Erik Ramirez moves to flyweight. 
  • Juarez leaves ratings due to inactivity. 
  • New boxer at 10 is Job Solano. 
  • Other moves are the result of these changes.
