The NABF is starting a new series called, "Star of the Month." We didn't have to look very far to find someone special to feature. She is known for her dedication, honesty and a quick and wicked sense of humor. Who else could stand up to a cowboy and a cop? So, here she is, Madam Secretary, Colorado's own, Chris Stilson.

Jill:  How did you become involved with the NABF?

Chris: I began working for Rex 15 years ago, and it was then that I was introduced to the world of boxing.  Since that time, I've learned more about boxing than I ever would have dreamed existed.  And what a pleasure to meet the people involved with the NABF--truly a wonderful group of people.

Jill:     Would you share a little bit about your life outside of the ‘ring?

Chris:  I've been asked to say a little bit about myself, and as contrary as that is to my nature, here goes.  I have lived in Boulder County, Colorado since we moved here in 1957.  My two sons went to the same high school as myself, my sister, brothers, nieces and nephews--and we all still live in Colorado!  I like to think that's because we all place the same high value on family, but it could be because it's just so beautiful here.

Jill:    Tell us about your family.

Chris: My biggest accomplishment in life, and my most rewarding experience, has got to be parenthood.  My two sons are by far the most amazing people I have ever known.  Their positive outlook on life and their compassion for other people is simply incredible.  They have become my role models, and I am so proud of them.  But it gets better--I am the grandmother of five absolutely beautiful young people who are on a path to become as amazing as their parents.

Jill:     What’s most important to you?

Chris: Family and friends--that's what it's all about; and I'm continually grateful for the friendships I have developed with the NABF family.
