Alex Ramos in Critical Condition

Alex "The Bronx Bomber" Ramos, is in critical condition, in a medically induced coma at a hospital in California. After not being able to reach him, his friend and collegue Jacquie Richardson had his landlady go to his apartment. There he was found unconsciecious. Alex was then rushed to the hospital. It is suspected that he suffered both seizures and an asthma attack. Complaining of breathing problems last month, he had gone to the ER, where they released him after 12 hours.

 

Just last week, Alex was in New York where he received the Afro Sports Hall of Award for lifetime achievements in Boxing.. He seemed happy and excited about his work with the Retired Boxing Foundation and his new position with Hombre TV.

The next twenty-four hours are critical, according to Jacquie. She asks for your prayers and hopes that Alex, relying on his stalwart attitude, will pull through.

> Alex was moved to the Intensive Care Unit at about 5 today. He
> remains heavily sedated and on the respirator. The Neurologist saw
