To date our activity has been good, with Mexico leading the way with active promotions. We now have title bouts in progress in Mississippi and Connecticut. As to the 2010 Convention we are pursuing talks with hotels in Providence, Rhode Island, which I believe would be a good choice as we have not visited the Northeast in many years. We will be looking to schedule a trip to Newport Beach and one of the nearby Casino’s during the Convention.
I recently attended the ABC Convention in New Orleans in the hope of furthering our relations with the various State Commissions, only time will tell. Whatever it takes to secure more assignments for our Official’s is our top priority.
We look forward to the upcoming WBC Convention in Jeju,Korea and hope that as many NABF members as possible will be attending. Please forward any news, comments, etc. to our website NABFNEWS.COM as this is YOUR Organization. Remember that your comments, complaints, are welcome, I am but a phone call away, (516) 532-6537 In your corner, Joe Dwyer

July has truly been a sad time for the boxing family. The tragic loss of former champions Alexis Arguello, Arturo Gatti, and Vernon Forrest has saddened each of us. Life is so short, hug your mate, kiss your child, and appreciate what we have.
